Regular Meeting was called to order at 7:34
The Renewal of Special Exception for Dog Training Facility at 16 Moose Meadow is being brought before the The Board because of a complaint. M. Masinda gave the complaint to the manager of the kennel to read. The complaint is from an abutting property owner. R. Maloney explained that the Zoning Board of Appeals approved this Special Exception. And the Special Exception could be modified.
Paul Laccavole the abutting property owner was present and explained his complaint. He stated that his primary complaint is the noise; it has steadily increased over the years.
The manager explained that dogs are staying overnight at 10 Moose Meadow Road where the kennel is located.
R. Maloney explained that they could only deal with 16 Moose Meadow Road the dog training facility that has the Special Exception.
R. Maloney stated that the Board would look into seeing if they could do anything to improve the situation.
R. Maloney asked how many dog would be at the facility over the weekend the manager stated about 40 dogs, the amount increases in the summer timer. Two employees are present at the facility overnight.
The manager stated that the business has decreased in the past two years. M. Masinda asked when the Kennel opened. Baywood Kennels opened in 1986. And it may have been a kennel before that.
R. Maloney motion to continue the Special Exception renewal to the next meeting. A. Poole seconded the motion.
A site walk was set for Monday June 25, 2012 at 7:00 at 16 Moose Meadow Road.
Pre-Application:
John & Ann Starinovich are present to speak about their pre application they are looking for a location to put a garage. The Board Members and applicants discussed different location for the two car garage.
New Business:
ZBA2012-4 Application Special Exception for Beverage Alcohol Production Company at 156 River Road Owner: Tom Buccino Applicant: Richard Gummoe (Received June 14, 2012 Public Hearing July 12, 2012 Decision within 65 days after close of P.H.)
R. Maloney motion to approve the minutes of April 12, 2012. A. Poole seconded the motion. All voted in favor.
